Membership in the Olaf Wieghorst Museum and Western Heritage Center is open to the public.
We welcome your support because we believe admission to the museum should be free.
A Free Museum
While most museums charge for admission, we are a place where kids and families can have a quality museum experience regardless of ability to pay.
For many kids, we are their first museum experience. We introduce kids to the idea of a museum. We introduce them to the great American West – and world class western art!
Keeping Western Heritage Alive
At the Wieghorst Museum you will find the art and artifacts of the old west – perfect for telling stories of cowboys, horses, life on the frontier and the values that are part of our American heritage.
We are also a place where local artists are encouraged to develop and showcase their visual art. We hope to inspire young artists, as Olaf was inspired, to keep our western heritage alive.
Membership
To keep our doors open and the lights on we depend on members to fund operating costs. Volunteers do the rest.
