Olaf Wieghorst’s Birthday

Saturday is Olaf’s Birthday and you are invited to a celebration at the museum.

Olaf Wieghorst was born in Viborg, Denmark on April 30, 1899. He grew up in Aarhus, Aalborg and Copenhagen where his father owned photography studios and his mother took in sewing to supplement family income. Olaf immigrated to the United States in 1918, destined to become an internationally recognized artist.
